MARCH 6, 2012

PRIMARY & SPECIAL ELECTION

OFFICES ON THE BALLOT:

US Senator, Court of Appeals Judge, Ohio Senator and Representative Commissioners (2), Coroner, Engineer, Prosecutor, Recorder, Sheriff, Treasurer, Clerk of Courts, Major Political Party State Central Committee, Major Political Party County Central Committee

 

Voter registration deadline was February 6, 2012.

 

Absentee voting began January 31st and will continue through

Friday, March 2nd. The hours for voting absentee are

Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM with the

exception of March 2, and the hours are 8:30 AM - 6:00 PM.

 

The last day for absentee applications to be received by mail

at the Board of Elections is Saturday, March 3rd.

 

Absentee ballots returned to the Board of Elections office in

person must be received by Tuesday, March 6th at 7:30 PM.

Ballots returned by mail must be postmarked no later than

Monday, March 6th and received at the Board of Elections

on or before March 16th.

 

ELECTION VOTING EQUIPMENT REPORT

VOTER IDENTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  Every voter will be required to provide proof of identity before voting.  The form of identification you may use includes:

*  Your current and valid photo identification card;

*  Military identification;

*  A copy of a utility bill;

*  A bank statement

*  A paycheck;

*  A government check; or

*  A government document showing your name and current address.

(Note:  you cannot use as proof of identification a notice that the board of election mailed to you.)
