November 6, 2012 GENERAL ELECTION OFFICES ON THE BALLOT: President/Vice President, US Representative to Congress, US Senator, Court of Appeals Judge, Supreme Court Justices (3), Ohio Senator and Representative, Commissioners (2), Coroner, Engineer, Prosecutor, Recorder, Sheriff, Treasurer, Clerk of Courts, and Auditor
Filing deadline for local issues is August 8, 2012 at 4:00 PM.
Voter registration deadline is October 9, 2012. The office will remain open October 9th until 9:00 PM.
Absentee voting begins October 2nd and will continue through Friday, November 2nd. The hours for voting absentee are Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM with the exception of November 2, and the hours are 8:30 AM - 6:00 PM.
The last day for absentee applications to be received by mail at the Board of Elections is Saturday, November 3rd.
Absentee ballots returned to the Board of Elections office in person must be received by Tuesday, November 6th at 7:30 PM. Ballots returned by mail must be postmarked no later than Monday, November 5th and received at the Board of Elections on or before November 16th.
ELECTION VOTING EQUIPMENT REPORT Every voter will be required to provide proof of identity before voting. The form of identification you may use includes: * Your current and valid photo identification card; * Military identification; * A copy of a utility bill; * A bank statement * A paycheck; * A government check; or * A government document showing your name and current address. (Note: you cannot use as proof of identification a notice that the board of election mailed to you.)
