How do I register to vote?

Voter registration forms may be obtained from the board office either in person, by mail or by clicking here. In addition to the board office, voter registration forms may be obtained from the following: Washington County Public Library, County Treasurer's office, Department of Human Services, Department of Health (WIC program only), Department of Mental Health, Department of MR/DD, High Schools and Vocational Schools, Rehabilitation Services Commission, Armed Forces Recruitment offices, Secretary of State, and the office when and where you obtain your driver's license.

Once registered to vote, a person does not have to register again unless his or her voter registration is cancelled for any of the reasons provided for in law.

 

Voter Eligibility

You are qualified to vote if:

You are a citizen of the United States.
You will be at least 18 years old on or before the day of the general election. (If you will be 18 on or before November 2, you may vote in the primary election for candidates, but you cannot vote on issues until you are 18);
You will be a resident of Ohio for at least 30 days before the election.

You register to vote at least 30 days before the election.
